Who’s ready to celebrate summer with a rockin’ Block Party?!

Block Party is designed to spice up your movement practice while building strength from a focused and steady approach. Each class comes with optional props, so you can gauge where you’re at day-to-day while building muscle, mobility, and stability. As always, the classes are taught in true Kathryn fashion: thoughtful but playful, challenging yet accessible, and filled with fabulous guest stars like: her wife Kate Fagan, our amazing Haus manager Tess Carver, Haus DJ and Phoenix Friend Meg Gray Younger, and an extremely extended cameo from Kathryn’s enthusiastic pup, Ragnar Ashison! So grab your friends, or just come hang with us — it’s Block Party time!

WHO THIS IS FOR:

Block Party is for folks that want to get stronger without feeling overwhelmed or being told they should look a certain way. No body shaming or drill-sergeanting here: you are a gorgeous meatsuit, and Kathryn will make sure you remember that! This program celebrates movement, while keeping you guessing with diverse movement. Get ready to feel some heat as you move in new and creative ways.

WEEK ONE

Welcome to the Block Party

45 minute practice

Welcome to your Haus block party! This creative practice strengthens our body and activates our imagination with the use of yoga blocks. Awaken your adductors in sun salutations, fire up your core through balance work, and be brave with funky chaturangas and big leaps into the unknown (okay, okay — actually just onto a block)!

Props: 2 blocks

WEEK TWO

Party like a Blockstar

45 minute practice

Slather on some SPF, because this class is gonna pack some heat! This practice fires up our obliques through three groups of strength and yoga-inspired movement. Get ready for twists, rotations, kicks, and a powerful spin on standing poses. Show up curious and ready to challenge yourself through this upbeat fusion of Haus Movement and Haus Yoga.

Props: two 1lb ankles weights, two 2lbs hand weights, 1 block

This class is designed to be done with or without ankle and hand weights. Test drive the practice and adapt to your personal needs and intentions.

WEEK THREE

Rock Around the Block

45 minute practice

Ready to fire up the grill? This challenging vinyasa-movement fusion goes deep into the core and increases mobility with cardio and Pilates-inspired moves. Play with weighted clamshells, sassy mermaids, flying straddles, and some squats and kicks guaranteed to make your legs burn.

Props: 1lbs ankle weights, two 2-3lbs hand weights

This class is designed to be done with or without ankle and hand weights. Test drive the practice and adapt to your personal needs and intentions.

WEEK FOUR

Blockbuster Moves!

45 minute practice

Y’all made it! Our final practice is the perfect recipe for some sweaty and strength-building fun! Start with sneak-attack core and arm work in child's pose, build core strength in plank variations, then dance your way through a buoyant warrior and half moon flow. Keep the party bumping with some weighted handstand hops, followed by bridge work and release.

Props: medium-light circular resistance, 1lbs ankles weights, 2lbs hand weights, a block, a wall
