Dearest Haus…

Dearest Haus,

I just wrapped up my Inky Phoenix presents: THE HOUSE IN THE CERULEAN SEA, and I can’t stop thinking about Linus and Lucy’s interchange on page 334:

“I’m afraid I don’t have magic.”

“You do, Mr. Baker. Arthur told me that there can be magic in the ordinary.”

He looked back at Lucy.

His eyes were closed.

He breathed deeply.

Linus stood.

“Thank you,” he whispered.

Y’all. THIS IS US. This is the foundation that Haus of Phoenix was built on — a home that stokes our magic, reminding us that the extraordinary waits for us, just beneath the surface. And in dark times like these, I want to remind us — you, myself — that there is magic all around us and that this magic is our power. We must continue to stir it up. To stoke each others fire and rise the F up.

A few recent classes to keep you motivated in Replays:

New Moon Ritual & Practice: Sigil Magick

I had originally planned on guiding us through making personalized sigils (and will in a future Moon Ritual), but decided we needed something to unify us — our very own ‘Bat Signal’ that we can ignite when we need our coven near. I settled on a phrase that represents us. The phoenix. WE ARE FIRE. I then proceeded to teach the art of turning this intention into symbol and the historical importance behind symbols and the ‘signature’ that they leave. I’d love for you to make your own, tape it to a glass candle, and light it anytime you need our support.

Sensual Floor Flow with Bella Blue

A most welcomed departure from our traditional yoga movement, New Orleans’ very own Bella Blue led us through an empowered floor class that helped me push through any judgement in my body, and most importantly, left me with a fierce ownership of this sensual meat suit. Highly recommend. Oh, and yes! You can expect more on Haus from Bella very soon …

No Thank You Flow

I could just say that Kate from the Hallway stars in this class and leave it at that, but this practice focuses on creating healthy boundaries, learning when to say Ashi the Destroyer’s favorite phrase: “No thank you!”, and using the revolved action of twisted postures to wring out the emotional gunk.

I intend to keep posting regularly with updates, thoughts, and so much more. So stay tuned.

And until then:

Protect, deflect. Guard, ward.
